    MASTER STRATEGIST

Connie Mack checks his ever-present scorecard for notes on the opposition as Ira Thomas and Stuffy McInnis follow the action. McInnis replaced Harry Davis at first base in 1911 and stayed on for three pennant winners. A right-handed pull hitter, he could also punch the ball to the opposite field. He batted over .300 from 1910 to 1915.
