Pep Conroy Was My Great-Uncle

Pep Conroy was the brother of my maternal grandmother, and as far as I know the only person on either side of my family to show even a SMIDGEN of athletic talent! I met him several times as a kid and probably asked him goofy questions like, "Did you know Babe Ruth?" and "Did you know Ty Cobb?" etc. As I recall, his answer to most of these questions was, "No."
