Nunez vs. Surhoff: Base Brawl!

by Lefty Sepulveda (St Paul, MN)

Edwin Nunez had not been entirely happy with his experience during his tenure with the Milwaukee Brewers. One day his team got into a brawl with the Brews and Edwin took out his frustrations on B.J. Surhoff. The unfortunate Surhoff was decked with a solid right from Nunez. When Surhoff woke up in the hospital TEN hours later he had no recollection of the events of the day!

Luckily, Surhoff had a full recovery and has had an excellent career since then.

Edwin Nunez was one tough Puerto Rican. Nobody in their right mind would mess around with him!

I'd love to see him coaching in MLB. You often have to wonder why there are so few Latino coaches in the Bigs. You just wonder...

» Richard "Lefty" Sepulveda is a baseball fanatic from Brooklyn. He longs for the good old days of 90 minute ballgames, 3 hour double headers, and .50 cent beers. "Make me the Commissioner and we'll have all that again. Bring back the good old days of baseball!" No more designated hitters, 'quality starts', steroid abuse, publicity hound umpires, or excessive long games.
