Charles Johnson (FLA-N) caught his third career no hitter on Saturday night, May 12, 2001, (tossed by A.J. Burnett in a 3-0 win over SD-N). Johnson became the 15th catcher since 1875 to accomplish this feat. Ray Schalk holds the record with four no-hitters caught. Johnson's third no hitter, all with Florida, is the first since Alan Ashby caught his 3rd in 1986 while with HOU-N. Johnson's other two no hitters caught were with Al Leiter in 1996 and Kevin Brown in 1997.
