Justin Kaye, Record-Setter

by J. Mitchell (Malibu, CA)

Justin Kaye led Pacific Coast League relievers in fewest hits (6.0) and most strikeouts (12.5) per nine innings in 2001. In his major-league debut on May 9, 2002, he pitched a perfect inning of relief vs. Toronto.

Kaye has a slider that baffles most batters. He throws in the mid to low 90's. Kaye became a free agent at the end of the 2002 season (with the Mariners) and currently plays for the Red Sox.

Kaye was born on June 9, 1976 in Florida. Kaye and his wife reside in Las Vegas in the offseason. He was married on November 2, 2002, to Kelly Kaye. They share a love for the breed of dogs known as "American Bulldogs."

» J. Mitchell is a Motion Picture Sound Mixer, who resides in Malibu Calif, and is an avid sports fan.
