Sam Horn's Fielding Prowess
by Chris Masalsjy (Dedham, MA)

I can't remember which Red Sox minor league coach said this about Sam Horn, but I vividly remember the exchange:

INTERVIEWER: "What will it take to get Sam prepared to be a major league first baseman?"

SOX COACH: "Someone needs to hit him a million ground balls."

INTERVIEWER: "He still needs that much work?"

SOX COACH: "Yep... and I've already hit him my million."
