1955 World Series
Dodgers Win
by Mary S. (Mesa, AZ)

I still remember the day the Brooklyn Dodgers won their first and only World Series in Brooklyn. I had been involved in a blood drive that my company had sponsored and was walking back to the head office. Everyone I passed had these silly grins, from ear to ear, on their faces. The joy could hardly be contained. We all knew "this was next year"!

When the Dodgers left Brooklyn, so did my interest in baseball.
