Chris Gwynn, younger brother of Tony Gwynn, played five seasons with the Dodgers, earning the reputation of a reliable pinch-hitter. He was traded to the Royals for Todd Benzinger with Domingo Mota in 1991. In 1993 he batted .300 in a full season with the Royals, adding another .300 season to the Gwynn family's collection. In 1996, he joined brother Tony with the Padres, hitting the game and series winning double against the Dodgers to get the Padres to the the Divisional Series against the Cardinals. He never played professional baseball again.
