Don Mossi and Ray Narleski

by Kathy Russo Lecube (New York, NY)

I remember working with Ray Narleski's cousin Lillian Zmania in New York City. I had the pleasure of meeting Ray and Don Mossi in the mid to late 50's through Lillian. Since my mother lived in the Bronx not far from the Yankee Stadium, I invited Ray and Don to join us along with Lillian and others for dinner at my mother's home. I remember on more than one occasion having lasagna feasts with Ray and Don and other members of the team. It was memorable for all of us to have Don and Ray, both wonderful human beings, join my family in our home. For most of our lives we were all Yankee fans and after meeting these guys and other on the team we found ourselves rooting for Cleveland then and even now!
