Another Former Met Throws a No Hitter
by Sean Lahman
On April 4, 2001, Hideo Nomo threw a no-hitter in his first start for the Red Sox. While fans in Boston rejoiced, Mets fans could only groan. Since their birth in 1962, the Mets have never had a pitcher throw a no-hitter. But seven pitchers have thrown no-hitters after leaving the Mets. Nomo's no-no was the thirteenth tacked up by a former Met.
