Rocky Colavito: Additional Facts

by Phyllis M. LaVietes (DeSoto, TX)

On July 5, 1962, Rocky Colavito hit three home runs in one game for the Detroit Tigers against his former team, the Cleveland Indians. This was the second time he had hit three in one game - in addition to the June 10, 1959 game in which he hit four consecutive HRs.

In 1976, Rocky Colavito was voted the all-time most popular player for the Cleveland Indians.

» Phyllis M. LaVietes has a Web page about Rocky Colavito at http://users.ev1.net/~lavietes/rc.htm and calls herself "Rocky's #2 Fan".
