Mike Adams: My First Best Friend

by Bob Hickman (Anaheim, CA)

I was new at Katella Elementary School in 1956. Mike Adams became the first person to take me under his wing in that all important second grade. I did not know a thing about baseball but he showed me how to hit, pitch, and catch. By the fourth grade he was the best player at the school and I was the second best. There was still a world of difference; he was great even then. I have been trying to get in touch with him and have had no luck. If anyone out there can make a connection please contact me at bobhickman99@yahoo.com or bobhickman@earthlink.net. I would love to talk with my buddy again.
