Ray Daviault played on the Lachine Mets during the summer of 1967. He had been released from the New York Mets organization because of an injury to this throwing arm.
He pitched during the 1967 season. He was effective for short stints. While we did not win the season championship, we did win the playoff championship that season. he was a very enjoyable teammate and had a great sense of humor. He also worked with other pitchers, myself included, and taught us how to improve our deliveries and pitch repetory.
Another of our teammates on the 1967 Lachine Mets team was Tim Harkness, who managed us through the last half of the season and the play-offs.
The QPL that season contained many former professional baseball players. It was a very competitive league.
