Carroll Hardy: CU Legend

by Sarah Deetz Edsall (Meridian, ID)

An all-around athlete, Carroll Hardy holds the record at CU for the most varsity letters earned by a single athlete, a total of 10: football (4), baseball (4), and track (2). In addition to his professional baseball and football playing time, he was in the front office for the Denver Broncos for over two decades, holding titles of Director of Player Personnel and Head of Scouting. He is retired in Colorado but still does some occasional work with the Kansas City Chiefs.

» Sarah Deetz Edsall, daughter of CU alums Barry Deetz and Ann Ames Deetz, is a longtime fan of "Uncle Carroll" and has won many trivia contests with knowledge of Carroll's unique statistics in football and baseball history.
