Chili Davis started his minor league career here and was always a nice gentleman. He lived in a house with Eddie Murray's brother "Vinny". Always had a smile, was kind of shy but very friendly to all. He dated one of my friends and one night he drove his Ford van to pick up my date -- Harry Chappas, who went on to be a shortstop for the White Sox. Chili and Harry spent quite a while trying to top each other with their baseball stats! Funny that they both went on to major league careers....
