Harmon's Last Home Run
September 18, 1975
by Thomas Brokl (Golden Valley, MN)

My favorite memory from 50 years of watching baseball is seeing Harmon Killebrew hit his 573rd and last career home run off Twins hurler Eddie Bane. I felt it was especially fitting for Harmon to hit his last homer at Metropolitan Stadium where the "Killer" played the majority of his career. What made it really special was he hit it and I caught it.
