No Recognition for McReynolds
Davis, Van Slyke, McReynolds?
by Kevin Blanchard (Waipahu, HI)

For all his talent and contributions, Kevin McReynolds received little recognition. A better leftfielder than Barry Bonds, McReynolds never won a Gold Glove. He also should have won a Silver Slugger in 1988 instead of Kirk Gibson. McReynolds never made the All Star team, although his '88 season was better than many players who were selected. He would have enjoyed considerable accolades if his personality was marketable. Bottom line: boring doesn't sell.

» Kevin Blanchard lives in Hawaii.
