I remember a play Carlos Martinez made, or failed to make, while holding a runner on first that I have never seen again. The pitcher picks the runner off first, but instead of throwing to second, Carlos did not realize that the runner had broke for second and laid down the tag on the "phantom" base runner. The guy stole second without a throw. It was ridiculous.
Aside from this, I do remember Carlos being a decent major league hitter, but he seamed to disappear of the face of the earth. What happened to this guy?
