Andre Dawson: Unreal

by Aron (Manhattan, KS)

When I was about 12 years old (14 years ago) I had a paper route and would sit in front of the TV every day and fold my newspapers for delivery as I watched Cubs games. One day I saw a truly amazing feat by Andre Dawson... I was just about to start my route as the Cubs were losing in the 9th inning, but as I walked out the door, Dawson hits a homerun to tie the game. Thinking I better get a move on I leave to go do my paper route (which took about 30 minutes) and when I came back Dawson was at the plate again in extra innings, and HITS A GAME-WINNING HOME-RUN!!! It was incredible to me as a kid how he hit a homerun just as I walked out the door, and just as I walked back in!!!
