About SABR
The Society for American Baseball Research

Founded in 1971, The Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) is a not-for-profit organization with more than 6,000 members - researchers, biographers, statisticians and fans spread throughout the world. Uniting them all is a common interest in baseball history, personalities, statistics, literature and the joy of sharing their interest.

SABR's objectives are to research, document and preserve an accurate in-depth record of baseball, its history, its players, its statistics and its traditions, legends and lore; to disseminate the results of its members' research and enhance the public's knowledge and understanding of the game; and to offer opportunities for everyone with a common interest in baseball to meet and share interests and information in a spirit of friendship and learning.

There is no test a person must pass to become active. All that's asked of members is that they have an interest in baseball. Membership dues include the two annual publications, at least one special publication, membership directory and newsletter.

For more information on SABR, SABR publications and services, or how to join SABR, please contact us at:
