THE BALLFIELD | As the colony grew, they built an amusement park and eventually a baseball field, which was used by a local semi-pro team. The House of David boys used this field when it was empty. By 1914, the attraction of a long-haired, bearded team was gaining the interest of local citizens, who came out and watched them play.
