INTRODUCTION

What better way to conclude a century of major league baseball games than to suggest a mere 100 that stand as the greatest? It is, at best, a risky venture. Nevertheless, not only has the author extracted what he considers the greatest games, but he also has the audacity to rank them. This is intended to arouse and stimulate discussion. Follow now as we revisit and relive baseball at its best. -- Joe Dittmar
