SLUGGERS COMPARE NOTES | Hitting legends Ty Cobb and Nap Lajoie discuss the fine art of hitting before a contest during the 1909 season. Two of the game's best, the pair was often locked in a batting title struggle. In 1909, Cobb finished first and Lajoie third, but the following season saw what was probably the most hotly contested batting race ever. Lajoie finished with .384 to Cobb's .385.
