Bug #99   found in Frank Menechino's player profile
URL: /ballplayers/M/Menechino_Frank.stm
Fixed: August 30, 2002
Reported by: Hugh Harlin (HHHHAR@AOL.COM)
Reported error: In the profile for Frank Menechino, it states "Menechino was a late entry to professional ball, breaking in with the rookie class of the Oakland Athletics at the 'old' age of 22." Menechino was drafted by the White Sox in the 45th round of the 1993 draft, and spent several years in their system before being lost to the A's in the Rule 5 draft.

Paranthetically, in 1993, he was drafted by the Sox two rounds after Carey Schueler (Ron's daughter, 43rd round), the only female ever selected in baseball's amateur draft. That makes Menechino and Mario Valdez (48th round) the only major leaguers drafted by their teams after a girl.

Action taken: Entry clarified.
