IN THE NEWS: Denny McLain is the unanimous choice as American League MVP.

Wednesday, November 13th

IN THE NEWS: Bob Gibson edges Pete Rose to win the National League MVP award. Fittingly in the year of the pitcher, it is the only year in which both MVPs are hurlers.

IN THE NEWS: Yankees P Stan Bahnsen, who was 17-12, is named American League Rookie of the Year.
