In the expansion Blue Jays' first ballgame (4/7/77), Woods became the 11th player
to hit a pinch homer in his first ML at-bat. In 1980 he batted .300 and had six hits
in six straight at-bats on July 20-21. His sub-standard defensive skills and apparent
lack of interest in improving them limited his career.
