» September 16, 1992: The Cubs blow out the Phils 14–9 to give Greg Maddux his 18th win. Maddux gives up three earned runs in six innings. Led by Andre Dawson's four hits, the first four hitters collect 11 hits and 11 ribbies for the Cubs. Dave Hollins homers for the Phils, while Dawson, Ryne Sandberg and Rick Wilkins go deep for Chicago. Mark Grace makes his an error, ending his streak of 102 errorless games at 1B; his streak began after two errors on May 18 vs. the Dodgers.

» June 28, 1995: The Cubs trade C Rick Wilkins to the Astros for OF Luis Gonzalez and C Scott Servais.

» July 26, 1996: In a trade of catchers, the Astros trade Rick Wilkins to the Giants in exchange for popular Kirt Manwaring and cash.

» August 13, 1996: After failing to score in the first three innings, the Giants proceed to plate runs in each of their next six at bats, going on to defeat the Pirates, 12-10. Rick Wilkins' pinch-hitter grand slam in the 8th leads the Jints on to victory.

» February 3, 2000: The St. Louis Cardinals take out insurance by signing veterans Shawon Dunston, OF Brian McRae, 1B Eduardo Perez, and C Rick Wilkins.
