Pitching in his 2nd ML game, Reds rookie Milt Wilcox pitches a 5–0 shutout over the Dodgers in LA. » December 6, 1971: The Reds trade P Milt Wilcox to the Indians for OF Ted Uhlaender. Uhlaender had 13 hpmers the past two seasons, and all but one came in Cleveland. He'll hit none in Cincinnati.
» April 15, 1983: Detroit P Milt Wilcox is one out away from a perfect game when pinch hitter Jerry Hairston singles, and Wilcox settles for a 4–0 one-hitter over White Sox ace LaMarr Hoyt. This is only the 3rd time in ML history a perfect bid has been stopped with one out to go.
