Books and articles about Jo-Jo White

White was a Texas League basestealing champ with a top-notch throwing arm who couldn't find a regular spot in a crowded Tiger outfield. His ten pinch hits in 1933 were the AL high. Though he left the majors after 1938, he got a second chance with the WWII A's.
