Pee Wee was jumped from Class C ball to the staggering, seventh-place Yankees of
1925 as a replacement for fading Everett Scott. His best was none too good, but he
is noteworthy as the player for whom Lou Gehrig pinch hit in the first of his 2,130
consecutive games played.
