Walker hit .292 with 10 HR for the Reds in 1984, but he was a treacherous
fielder
and was traded to Texas with Jeff Russell for Buddy Bell in 1985. He was released
by the Rangers after 1985 and again by Tucson (Pacific Coast League) in 1986 before
signing with the Cardinals' Louisville (American Association) club, where he spent
most of 1987-88.
