» July 31st, 1951: The Browns acquire Cliff Mapes from the Yankees, sending Bobbie Hogue, Kermit Wahl, Tom Upton and Lou Sleater to New York. The trade frees up an outfield spot for Mantle's return as well as Mapes #7 uniform.
