FROM THE BASEBALL CHRONOLOGY
» April 13, 1996: In Milwaukee, Michael Tucker's 3-run homer in the 5th inning -- the only hit allowed by knuckleballer Steve Sparks -- is enough to give the Royals a 3–2 win.

» April 30, 1997: Fred McGriff homers twice and Michael Tucker has five hits to lead the Braves to 12–3 win over the stumbling Reds. The Braves complete the first 19-win April in ML history. The Reds, losers of their 12th in 14 contests, get three hits from Deion Sanders, who raises his average to .385. Neon also swipes his 19th base.

» May 16, 1997: Michael Tucker's 2-out double in the 9th breaks up Alan Benes' no-hitter. Benes, unfortunately, is matched against Greg Maddux, who holds the Cards scoreless for eight innings. The Braves finally push across a run in the 13th on Andruw Jones' infield dribbler to beat Cardinals reliever John Frascatore, 1–0. The teams combine for 33 strikeouts, three shy of matching the National League record for an extra-inning game set by the Giants and Mets in 23-innings in 1964.

» June 22, 1997: The Braves power four homers in a 9-run 3rd inning to sink the Phils, 12–5, handing Philadelphia its 8th loss in a row. Chipper Jones, Fred McGriff, Michael Tucker and Jeff Blauser all homer in Atlanta's biggest inning since 1989.

» September 30, 1998: In the 1st game of their NLCS series, the Braves defeat the Cubs, 7–1, as Michael Tucker and Ryan Klesko homer to back John Smoltz's pitching.

» October 12, 1998: The Braves do it again, this time scoring five runs in the 8th to defeat the Padres, 7–6. Michael Tucker hits a 3–run homer in the inning, and drives home five runs altogether.

» November 10, 1998: The Braves trade P Denny Neagle, OF Michael Tucker, and minor league P Rob Bell to the Reds in exchange for 2B Bret Boone and P Mike Remlinger.

» September 22, 2000: The Reds defeat the Astros, 12-5, in a contest which sees nine home runs hit—6 by Cincinnati and three by Houston. Houston's homers give the team 240, for a new NL mark for a single season. Cincinnati's Juan Castro, Michael Tucker, and Sean Casey all homer off Jose Lima in the 2nd inning, giving Lima a new NL record of 47 home runs allowed on the year.

» July 20, 2001: The Cincinnati Reds send OF Michael Tucker to the Cubs. In return, they get minor league pitchers Chris Booker and Ben Shafer. The Reds also recalled 1B D.T. Cromer.

» December 19, 2001: The Cubs sign free agent OF Moises Alou to a 3-year contract. They also trade OF Michael Tucker to the Royals in exchange for a player to be named.
