After seven years in the Cardinals farm system, Stout contributed a 6-0 record to
the 1931 St. Louis pennant drive. In 1935 he left the ML with one more loss than
win on his career, but a short wartime stint with the Braves eight years later gave
him a single relief win to even his record.
