    » May 30, 1991: OF Rickey Henderson of the A's hits a leadoff home run against Todd Stottlemyre of Toronto. It is the 46th time he has started a game with a homer, extending his major league record. Oakland defeats the Blue Jays, 8-6.

    » February 20, 1994: Toronto pitchers Dave Stewart and Todd Stottlemyre are arrested following a scuffle with police outside a Tampa nightclub. Both are charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.

    » January 9, 1996: The Athletics trade P Todd Stottlemyre to the Cardinals in exchange for pitchers Bret Wagner, Jay Witasick and Carl Dale, and OF Allen Battle.

    » June 2, 1996: In St. Louis, Todd Stottlemyre outpitches Houston's Darryl Kile to win, 2–0, as the Cards sweep Houston in three games. Kile (6–4) hits four Cards in the game, the first time a pitcher has done that since Moe Drabowsky on this same date in 1957.

    » June 30, 1996: Cards pitcher Todd Stottlemyre has three hits, two in the 6-run 2nd inning, in beating the Pirates, 10–3.

    » October 1, 1996: In the opening game of the National League Division Series, the Cardinals defeat the Padres 3-1. Todd Stottlemyre gets the win for St. Louis.

    » October 10, 1996: St. Louis evens the NLCS with an 8-3 win over the Braves in Game two of the NLCS. Gary Gaetti hits a grand slam for the Cardinals as Todd Stottlemyre gets the win.

    » July 31, 1998: The Rangers trade P Darren Oliver and 3B Fernando Tatis to the Cardinals in exchange for P Todd Stottlemyre and SS Royce Clayton. The Rangers get 3B Todd Zeile from the Marlins in exchange for 3B Jose Santo and P Daniel De Young. Tatis will hit .287 with 11 homers this year in St. Louis, but Zeile will help by reaching base 11 straight times during a critical three game stretch in September.

    » April 6, 1999: The Braves defeat the Phillies, 11–3, behind Greg Maddux. Maddux hits a home run and 2–run single in Atlanta's 8–run 4th inning, becoming the first pitcher since Todd Stottlemyre in 1996 to get two hits in the same inning.

    » August 20, 1999: Diamondback's P Todd Stottlemyre makes his first start since tearing the rotary cuff in his right arm on May 17. Stottlemyre, who eschewed surgery in favor of a strengthening program, gives up seven hits to the Pirates in four 2/3 innings, including a pair of homers by Brian Giles. He will go 2–1 the rest of the year.

    » October 6, 1999: The Diamondbacks defeat the Mets, 7-1, to even their National League division series at one game each. Todd Stottlemyre gets the win for Arizona, while OF Steve Finley drives home five of his team's runs.

    » May 13, 2000: The Diamondbacks defeat the Padres, 6-2, as Todd Stottlemyre wins the 136th game of his career. He joins his father, Mel, as the first father-son duo to combine for 300 wins.
