FROM THE BASEBALL CHRONOLOGY
» April 3, 2000: The Blue Jays defeat the Royals, 5-4, as SS Tony Batista and OF Shannon Stewart each homer twice.

» July 18, 2000: The Mets outslug the Blue Jays, 11-7, as C Mike Piazza hits his 3rd grand slam of the season. Toronto OF Shannon Stewart gets a ML record-tying four doubles in the game.

» April 1, 2001: The Blue Jays defeat the Rangers, 8-1, as the major league baseball season opens in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Former Ranger Esteban Loaiza gets the victory, striking out nine in seven innings while Shannon Stewart and Tony Batista slug home runs for Toronto. Alex Rodriguez gets two hits in his Texas debut but makes a critical error.

» May 25, 2001: At Fenway, the Red Sox defeat the Blue Jays, 4-0, on Hideo Nomo's one-hitter. The only Toronto hit is Shannon Stewart's double in the 4th, extending his hitting streak to 15 games. Mike Lansing's 3-run double in the 8th gives Nomo some breathing room.

» September 19, 2002: Toronto beats Baltimore, 9–3, as Blue Jays OF Shannon Stewart gets five hits, including a double and home run.
