As a Red Sox scout since 1950, Stephenson has been instrumental in unearthing talent
for Boston's productive farm system. He has signed or discovered numerous ML players,
including Fred Lynn, Bill Lee, Rick Burleson, Dwight Evans, and his own son, Jerry
Stephenson.
