A Baltimore outfielder from 1961 through 1967, he twice batted higher than .300,
reaching .306 for the 1966 World Champions. On April 29, 1962, he hit safely as a
pinch hitter twice in one inning. He once scored from second base on a sacrifice
fly off the bat of Brooks Robinson.
