Siebert was a reliever with poor control. When the Mets dumped Dave Kingman in the "Midnight Massacre" (they traded Tom Seaver the same night because both wanted more money) on June 15, 1977, they got Siebert and Bobby Valentine in return. Siebert's father Dick had an 11-year ML career. (JFC)
