» July 12, 1995: Montreal defeats the Cubs by a score of 3-2. Throughout the game, Expo 1B David Segui shares his mitt with Chicago's Mark Grace as Grace's glove did not arrive at the ballpark due to a shipping mix-up. The player's leave the mitt in the field between innings, as players did at the turn of the century.

Darrin Fletcher and David Segui belt grand slams and Montreal sets a team record for scoring by routing Colorado, 219. Reserve OF F.P. Santangelo knocks in five runs, to go along with Segui's six RBI, and Fletcher's 5. SS Mark Grudzielanek strokes five hits for the Expos.

In Atlanta's 31 win over the Expos, Montreal first baseman David Segui fractures his left thumb when pitcher Ugueth Urbina fires over to 1B and hits his teammate. Henry Rodriguez takes over at 1B.
» August 12, 1996:
The Expos defeat the Astros, 8-1, in a game marked by a 3rd-inning 10-minute brawl which will result in 4-game suspensions being handed down to Henry Rodriguez, Moises Alou, David Segui, Jeff Juden, and John Cangelosi. Danny Darwin gets six games. Houston manager Terry Collins receives a gash that will require four stitches to close when he's hit by a thrown batting helmet. The fight starts when Rodriguez is plunked by a pitch, the apparent result of his stopping and admiring a homer he hit his last time up. Al Leiter pitches a 3-hitter to win, although he gives up a leadoff homer to Brian Hunter.

The Padres Scott Sanderson pitches one-hit ball over eight innings and strikes out 10 to beat the Expos, 60. David Segui has the only hit for Montreal.
» September 21, 1997:
The Expos put a dent in Denny Neagle's possible Cy Young Award as they twice unload back-to-back homers to beat the Braves, 71. Neagle retires the first 12 batters before giving up a single, then homers to Rondell White and Hemsley Muelens. In the 6th David Segui and White hit consecutive homers.

The Mariners sign free agent 1B David Segui to a 2-year contract.
» April 1, 1998: Seattle 1B David Segui homers from both sides of the plate in the Mariners 97 loss to Cleveland. Segui adds a double and drives in five runs.
» April 29, 1999: Down 61, the Mariners score 11 runs in the 5th inning and six more in the 6th on the way to a 226 pasting of Detroit. Ken Griffey Jr. hits two home runs and drives in six in the inning. Tiger P Mel Rojas is pounded for eight hits and 11 earned runs in one and 2/3 innings of relief. It is the first time in 40 years that Detroit has given up 11 runs in a frame. By not committing an error in the contest, Mariner 1B David Segui becomes baseball's alltime leader in fielding percentage among first basemen (1,000 games minimum), moving slightly ahead of Steve Garvey.

In a game featuring 10 home runs, the Rockies defeat the Mariners by a score of 16-11. Butch Huskey, Ken Griffey Jr., David Bell, and David Segui homer for Seattle. Angel Echevarria homers twice for the Rockies, who also get round-trippers from Edgard Clemente, Kurt Abbott, Dante Bichette, and P Curtis Leskanic.
» July 28, 1999: The Blue Jays obtain 1B David Segui from the Mariners in exchange for pitchers Tom Davey and Steve Sinclair. Segui's refusal of the Mariners' 3-year, $17 million offer prompted the trade. Segui will settle for a one-year arbitrated contract with the Jays.
» August 4, 1999:
The Mariners send vet Butch Huskey to Boston for AAA pitcher Robert Ramsey. Tomorrow, the send vet 1B David Segui to Toronto for minor leaguers Tom Davey and Steve Sinclair.
» March 16, 2000: In a 3-team deal, the Toronto Blue Jays, Texas Rangers, and Montreal Expos all exchanged first basemen. Toronto trades David Segui to Texas. The Rangers then send Lee Stevens to the Expos. Montreal then swaps Brad Fullmer to the Blue Jays.
» July 28, 2000:
The Indians keep trading, bringing back OF Wil Cordero from the Pirates for talented prospects IF Enrique Wilson and OF Alex Ramirez. The Tribe had declined to resign Cordero after last season and he upped with the Bucs for three years. Then they pick up slick-fielding 1B David Segui from the Rangers for OF Ricky Ledee.
» December 19, 2000: What youth movement? The Orioles sign free agent P Pat Hentgen to a 2-year contract and tomorrow SS Mike Bordick will come back to the O's inking a 2-year contract. The day after they will sign another vet, 1B David Segui to a 4-year contract.
