    » July 22, 1902: Jack Pfiester beats Doc Scanlan to give Chicago (National League) a 6–3 win over Brooklyn.

    » October 3, 1905: Brooklyn hurler Doc Scanlan hurls two complete-game victories over host St. Louis, winning by scores of 4-0 and 3-2. Doc gives up 12 hits in his 18 innings.

    » May 30, 1906: At Washington Park, the Superbas split with the Giants, winning the first game 2-0 behind the four hit pitching of Harry McIntire. Dummy Taylor takes the loss. Christy Mathewson gets a win for New York in the nitecap, beating Bill Scanlan, 5-2.

    » June 21, 1911: Grover Cleveland Alexander wins for the 2nd day in a row, hooking up with Brooklyn's Doc Scanlan for a 15-inning operation, won by the Phils, 2–1.
