The Phils are 19-18 since August 12. » April 25, 1994: Padres' P Scott Sanders and OF Derek Bell are arrested in New York on charges of soliciting undercover policewomen posing as prostitutes, prior to San Diego's game against the Mets. The Padres go on to win the game, 6-3, as Sanders picks up his first career save. Charges against Sanders and Bell will be dismissed in October for lack of evidence.
» August 20, 1996: Ken Caminiti has a grand slam and six RBIs to lead the Padres to a 7–4 win over the Expos. Starter Scott Sanders (6-4) pitches six 2/3 innings of no hit ball before Darren Fletcher singles.
» December 6, 1996: The Seattle Mariners acquire righty Scott Sanders, (9–5, 3.38 ERA) from the Padres for left-handed Sterling Hitchcock. Hitchcock was the ace of the Mariner staff after Randy Johnson went down with back surgery. He finished with a 13–9 record, but had a 5.35 ERA.
» April 2, 1997: Paced by Tino Martinez, who belts homers in each of his first three at bats, the visiting Yankees rout the Mariners, 16–2. Martinez's shots, all off starter Scott Sanders, come with the bases empty, one on and two on; in three of his final four times at bat, the bases are full, but Tino fails to connect for his 4th dinger, singling once and walking with the bases loaded. Martinez, who also had a single, drives home seven runs and scores 5.
» May 26, 1997:
At the Metrodome, Edgar Martinez and Jay Buhner both homer twice, and Joey Cora extends his hitting streak to 21 games as Seattle wins, 13–8. Martinez collects a pair of three-run homers, while Buhner's are two solo shots as the Mariners won for just the third time in 11 games. Cora leads off the game with a homer, and Russ Davis finishes with a solo homer in the ninth for Seattle. Scott Sanders is shaky but wins his first of the year for the M's.
» July 18, 1997: The Mariners, seeking pitching help, trade Scott Sanders (3–6) and two minor leaguers (pitcher Dean Crow and 3B Carlos Villalobos) to the Detroit Tigers on Friday for righthanders Omar Olivares (5–6) and Felipe Lira (5–7). Piniella practically begged for a trade after the M's lost to Minnesota 9-7 in 12 innings, cutting Seattle's lead to over Anaheim in the American League West to one-half game.
» August 4, 1997:
Manny Ramirez homers and drives in four runs, and Jim Thome hits his 30th homer as the Indians beat Detroit, 7–2. Charles Nagy improves to 12-4 lifetime against the Tigers, his most wins against any club. Thome is the first Cleveland lefthanded hitter to hit 30 homers in successive seasons since Hal Trosky in 1936-37. Scott Sanders (3-9), making his fourth start since being traded to Detroit from Seattle, was the loser. He has lost all three of his decisions in a Tigers uniform.

Detroit P Scott Sanders hurls a 1-hit, 4-0 shutout over the Rangers. 2B Domingo Cedeno's single is the only Texas safety.
» December 2, 1998: The Cubs sign free agent P Scott Sanders.
