Romanick was drafted by the Blue Jays in 1979 and the Padres in 1980 but did not
sign, then was selected by the Angels in 1981. He won 12 games as a rookie starter
in 1984 and was 14-9 in 1985, but a 5.50 ERA in 18 starts in 1986 ended his ML career.
