» April 22, 1996: Rheal Cormier allows just three hits and Henry Rodriguez slams two homers and drives in five runs as host Montreal clips the Cardinals, 80. Rodriguez, starting in LF for the injured Moises Alou, homered twice on Saturday and is 9-for-14. Montreal (127) leads Atlanta in the N.L. East by one 1/2 games.

Henry Rodriguez clouts his 9th homer and Shane Andrews singles home the winner in the 10th as Montreal beat the Reds, 76, for its 6th straight win, to lead the National League East by two 1/2 games. Rodriguez has now hit six homers in his last 13 at bats.

The Mets and Expos swap shutouts, with Pedro Martinez topping New York in the opener, 40, and Jason Isringhausen allowing four hits in winning the nightcap, 60. Martinez, 80 against the Mets, allows just two singles, both in the 7th inning. Henry Rodriguez, who hits a 3-run homer after apparently peeking at Mets C Todd Hundley glove, says, "I've got 10 homers, I don't need to look back."
» May 10, 1996: Montreal's Henry Rodriguez hits his 2nd homer of the game, a 3-run shot in the 8th, to send the Expos to a 52 win over the Astros. Starter Jeff Fassero is the winner. Following Rodriguez' home run, the game is delayed when fans in the LF bleachers shower the field with "Oh, Henry" candy bars.

In San Francisco, the fans and players ignore a light earthquake at 3Com Park4.8 on the Richter scalein the 3rd inning, and the Giants break a 6th-inning tie to win 85 over the Expos. Matt Williams hits his 11th home run and drives in three runs for SF, while Henry Rodriguez hits his 17th homer for the Expos. His three ribbies give him 51 to lead the NL.
» June 24, 1996:
On Oh! Henry candy bar day in Montreal, Henry Rodriguez bangs two homers to tie for the National League lead at 25. His Expos beat the Pirates, 113, nine of the runs coming in the 2nd inning. Rodriguez adds a single and 2-run double.
» July 3, 1996:
In Atlanta's 31 win over the Expos, Montreal first baseman David Segui fractures his left thumb when pitcher Ugueth Urbina fires over to 1B and hits his teammate. Henry Rodriguez takes over at 1B.
» August 12, 1996:
The Expos defeat the Astros, 8-1, in a game marked by a 3rd-inning 10-minute brawl which will result in 4-game suspensions being handed down to Henry Rodriguez, Moises Alou, David Segui, Jeff Juden, and John Cangelosi. Danny Darwin gets six games. Houston manager Terry Collins receives a gash that will require four stitches to close when he's hit by a thrown batting helmet. The fight starts when Rodriguez is plunked by a pitch, the apparent result of his stopping and admiring a homer he hit his last time up. Al Leiter pitches a 3-hitter to win, although he gives up a leadoff homer to Brian Hunter.
» May 7, 1997: The Expos score a National League-record 13 runs in the 6th inning of their game against the Giants on the way to a 19-3 win. The Expos send 17 batters to the plate. Mike Lansing homers twice in the inning to drive in five runs, becoming the 3rd Expo to perform the feat, and the 1st NL second baseman to do so since Bobby Lowe in 1894. Henry Rodriguez hits a grand slam in the 5-run 5th.
» June 13, 1997:
Tiger P Omar Olivares hits the first triple by an American League pitcher in 24 years, but Henry Rodriguez bangs a two-run homer as Montreal beats visiting Detroit, 43. Olivares loses despite going 2-or-3.
» June 15, 1997:
The host Expos drum the Tigers 102 as Henry Rodriguez drills a homer off the rim of Olympic Stadium, only the second player to do so. The Expos sweep three to extend their winning streak to nine. With the score tied at one apiece Rodriguez homers off Brian Moehler (4-6) leading off the fourth. The ball rebounds off the 160-foot-high rim and lands on the field.
» July 21, 1997:
Henry Rodriguez, in a 7-for-76 slump, bangs a two-out, ninth-inning grand slam as the Montreal Expos beat the visiting Rockies, 84. For Colorado, it is their 16th loss in its last 18 games.

The Cubs obtain OF Henry Rodriguez from the Expos in exchange for P Miguel Batista.
» April 10, 1998:
Cubs' OF Henry Rodriguez gets five hits and drives home three runs in Chicago's 130 win over Montreal. Kevin Tapani limits the Expos to just three hits to gain the win.
» May 14, 2000: The Expos defeat the Cubs, 16-15, despite two home runs and seven RBIs by Chicago OF Henry Rodriguez. OF Sammy Sosa has five hits, including a double, and five RBIs for the Cubbies, while Eric Young steals five bases.
» July 31, 2000:
The Cubs pick up oft-injured OF Rondell White from the Expos for P Scott Downs. making Henry Rodriguez expendable. They then make their 5th trade in 11 days sending Rodriguez to the Marlins for 1B/OF Russ Gload and P Dave Noyce.

The Yanks sign Henry Rodriguez, to a one year contract. The agreement was reached a month ago and H-Rod is already listed in the team's spring training program.
