A good glove man who led Pacific Coast League shortstops in total chances and double plays in 1971-72, Robinson was handed a regular job with the 1974 Braves but simply didn't hit enough. His .230 batting average and lack of power (four doubles, six triples, no home runs) relegated him to a reserve role for his remaining ML seasons. (CP)
