Dick Williams once called this utility player "the fastest man in baseball." Richard scored from first on singles several times, and as a White Sox rookie once scored from second on a sacrifice fly. But in 1971 he led AL shortstops in errors despite playing only 68 games at shortstop. Because he was a strikeout pitcher in high school and college, teammates dubbed him Bee Bee. (KC)
