Rasmussen did not have overpowering stuff and relied on mixing his pitches. He pitched
a shutout against the Padres in his first ML start (7/21/75), but never had a winning
season. After an 11-17 year in 1977 and a 2-5 start the next year, the Cardinals
traded him to the Padres for George Hendrick in late May. He was 12-10 for the remainder
of the '78 season.
