» December 20, 1996: The Blue Jays send 1B John Olerud and his $5 million contract to the Mets for pitcher Robert Person. The move leaves 1B open for Joe Carter.

» May 5, 1999: The Blue Jays trade P Robert Person to the Phillies in exchange for P Paul Spoljaric.

» February 11, 2001: Phillies P Robert Person is arrested on charges of obstructing or opposing an officer without violence, and giving a false name, after failing to walk away from a fight when ordered.

» June 2, 2002: The Phillies score 10 runs in the 1st inning and go on to trounce the Expos by a score of 18–3. Philadelphia P Robert Person gets the win, slugs two home runs and drives in seven runs in the contest.
