As a starter in Mexico, Pena posted a 246-192 record (1961-66, 1969, 1973-84). But in his four major league trials with the Reds and Dodgers, he was used only in relief. He won as many as 22 games in a Mexican League season (1978). In 1982, at age 40, he went 10-1 for Ciudad Juarez. (MC)
