Despite five mediocre minor league seasons, O'Donoghue became the winningest starter for the cellar-dwelling A's of 1964-65, winning 19 and losing 32, with a league high 18 losses in '65. He was later effective as a late-inning set-up man and occasional closer for the Seattle Pilots in 1969, saving six and winning two in relief. (FJO)
